A Brief Goodbye to JH
As a dedicated Giants fan (you know), I was preparing to share my thrilling experiences from my season ticket membership in my next post. However, all those memories paled in comparison when I witnessed the heart-wrenching moment of JH Lee collapsing after hitting the wall.
JH is going to have a season-ending surgery. It is hard to believe that my extraordinary pleasure as a Korea-originated Giants fan faces a sudden end. "Surgery was the obvious decision. But obvious decisions are not always easy to make." For a young athlete like JH, only 25 years old, this must be a difficult moment. However, I felt some relief after his interview with a Korean media outlet. He expressed indifference towards the harsh criticisms from certain Korean news articles, highlighting the presence of 'giraegies'—those who seek to elevate themselves by belittling others. JH also expressed his wish for fans to disregard such negativity.

I'm truly grateful for what he has contributed to the team in such a brief period, and I eagerly hope to see his healthy return next season. No team relies solely on Plan A, and the ability to adapt to unforeseen challenges is a measure of a team's strength. This adaptability has been a struggle for the Giants over the past years. However, this year, there seems to be a shift in the breeze; Matos has stepped into JH's role and brought fresh energy to the team. The last three games showcased the kind of Giants baseball I've always hoped to see. The game must go on; let's go, Giants!
