This Tuesday, my daughter brought a bingo paper. Her history teacher proposed an extra credit for a bingo game predicting what words would be in Biden's State of the Union address that night. It was a fun experience listening live to the State of the Union with all father-and-daughter's ears.
I think the address was good, frankly, much better than expected - at least Kevin McCarthy didn't rip up the papers. But the hard thing came from the next. It was torture at first, then like submerged in a sea of melancholy. But I was much better today because I learned it was not only me. Prof. Krugman always gives me room to breathe, a sanctuary. That's why I like him, his literature.
